CONGRESSMAN ADAM GRAY JOINS BIPARTISAN GROUP TO LAUNCH NEW BUILD AMERICA CAUCUS

WASHINGTON, DC – This week, Congressman Adam Gray (D-Merced) joined a bipartisan group of his colleagues to launch the new Build America Caucus. The caucus is a group of nearly 30 bipartisan, pro-growth Members from across the ideological spectrum who will work together to pass legislation to cut red tape and encourage American production and innovation. Members of the new caucus gathered to announce its formation and share their hopes for the 119th Congress.
“America was built by doers who put bold ideas into action,” said Congressman Gray. “But for too long, American innovation and production has been tied up in overburdensome regulation and bureaucratic red tape. The status quo doesn’t work anymore. It’s time to enact pro-growth policies that will harness American energy resources, increase our housing supply and encourage economic development. I’m proud to represent the Central Valley as a member of the bipartisan Build America Caucus to finally deliver on America’s promise of opportunity for all.”
“Voters have lost faith in government because they don’t see results - they see gridlock, red tape, and delay,” said Caucus Chair Josh Harder (D-Stockton). “It’s time to get back to building. Housing costs are out of control, our energy grid is strained, and foreign adversaries are racing ahead in critical manufacturing. The Build America Caucus is bringing Republicans and Democrats together to deliver real, pro-growth solutions. Our mission is simple: pass effective legislation that unleashes America’s full potential.”
The Build America Caucus will prioritize:
- Unleashing American energy through permitting and transmission reform
- Making housing affordable by incentivizing states and cities to build more homes
- Speeding up American infrastructure projects by streamlining requirements and cutting red tape
