CONGRESSMAN ADAM GRAY ASSIGNED TO HOUSE AGRICULTURE AND NATURAL RESOURCES SUBCOMMITTEES

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Adam Gray (D-Merced) was assigned to the House Committees on Agriculture and Natural Resources. Congressman Gray will sit on the Agriculture Committee’s Subcommittees on Livestock, Dairy, and Poultry, Commodity Markets, Digital Assets, and Rural Development, and Forestry and Horticulture, and the Natural Resources Committee’s Subcommittee on Water, Wildlife and Fisheries.
"The voters sent me to Washington to make sure agriculture has a future in the San Joaquin Valley,” said Congressman Gray. “The State Auditor found gross mismanagement of California's water supplies including policies that result in as much as 95% of freshwater being sent out into the ocean. Combine that with regulatory costs on growers that have skyrocketed by nearly 1400%, and it is a miracle our farmers have been able to survive. I'll work with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to restore some sanity. That means bringing down food prices, eliminating bureaucratic red tape, and delivering reliable water supplies for both farms and cities."
