MERCED, CA – Rep. Adam Gray (CA-13) announced today that the Department of Transportation (DOT) is directing over $7.4 million in grant funding to airport improvement projects in Chowchilla, Madera, Atwater and Gustine. The funding will support lighting improvements, repaving, weatherization, and safety measures at municipal airports to keep the Central Valley connected with other areas of the state and country.

In Merced, one situation perfectly illustrates the problems created when political promises collide with cold, hard reality.
The Central Valley is where America’s food grows. Our agricultural communities, working families and small businesses depend on being able to move goods to market efficiently. We need stable roads and transportation infrastructure to make that happen, but right now, we are being held hostage by an administration that tried to cut red tape and instead tied itself into knots.
California’s water system, constructed in partnership with the federal government, was built on a predictable weather cycle every calendar year. Throughout the winter, snow piles in the Sierra before it melts in late spring and flows throughout the state just when farms need it most. For decades, this cycle, paired with our world-class water infrastructure, allowed for reliable water deliveries, captured excess flows in reservoirs and efficiently moved supply to refill our groundwater tables. But that rhythm is slowly changing.

MERCED, CA – Congressman Adam Gray (CA-13) hosted his second Veterans Advisory Committee meeting today at Merced’s American Legion Hall, welcoming veterans and their families along with local advocates and officials.
WASHINGTON, DC – On the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Medicare and Medicaid, Congressman Adam Gray (CA-13) introduced legislation to restore funding to critical Medicaid and ACA programs. WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Adam Gray’s STRIVE Act to limit copay costs for veterans at VA health clinics passed with unanimous consent out of the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs this week. The bill was recommended favorably by a voice vote, with no opposition from any member of the committee. The committee’s vote renders the bill eligible to be brought to the House Floor for a vote.
WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Adam Gray (CA-13) recently cosponsored the bipartisan Federally Integrated Species Health (FISH) Act led by Congressman Ken Calvert (CA-41). The bill would consolidate management and regulation of the Endangered Species Act (ESA) within the Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS). Under current law, ESA authority is shared by FWS and the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS).

DOS PALOS, CA – The Bureau of Reclamation has announced they will award $93 million to the Arroyo Canal Fish Screen and Sack Dam Fish Bypass Project near Dos Palos. The construction contract will further Bureau efforts to secure water access for Central Valley users and improve fish passage in the region.
FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A bipartisan group of lawmakers is teaming up to reintroduce a comprehensive immigration reform bill.
Rep. Adam Gray and Rep. David Valadao say The Dignity Act of 2025 will be crucial because it would provide legal status for some undocumented immigrants.
