CONGRESSMAN GRAY CELEBRATES $5 MILLION GRANT TO MADERA COUNTY SOCIAL SERVICES ORGANIZATION

WASHINGTON, DC – This week, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced that it will be awarding a $5.3 million grant to the Community Action Partnership of Madera County. The grant will support Head Start and Early Head Start programming through Community Action Partnership, which serves Madera and Fresno Counties. Congressman Gray issued the following statement after the grant was announced.
“I’m proud to congratulate Community Action Partnership on this incredible grant,” said Congressman Gray. “Head Start and Early Head Start providers are critical to our children’s development. This grant will improve services and ensure more Valley families have access to educational opportunities for kids. I’m looking forward to continued success for the Community Action Partnership, and in turn, even better outcomes for Valley families.”
Community Action Partnership’s Regional Head Start program serves children ages three to five in Madera County and offers comprehensive curriculum options to support school readiness and development. The program’s Early Head Start services support new parents and children up to the age of three through in-home visits designed to prepare parents to be their child’s first teacher.
