CONGRESSMAN GRAY GREETS CENTRAL VALLEY VETERANS DURING WASHINGTON HONOR FLIGHT VISIT

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Adam Gray (D-Merced) met this morning with a group of over five dozen veterans from the Central Valley during their Honor Flight visit to our nation’s capital. During the group’s tour of the Capitol building, Congressman Gray addressed the group on the House Floor and escorted them to the Capitol Rotunda. Congressman Gray joined Valley Congressmen Costa, Valadao, McClintock and Fong for the meeting.
“Our veterans are the very best of America,” said Congressman Gray following the visit. “I got the opportunity to thank each of these heroes for everything they have given to our country and listen to stories about their service. The Central Valley is home to the hardest working people in the country, especially the veterans and their loved ones who I met this morning.
“Here in Washington, I’m dedicated to protecting and expanding access to VA services for Valley veterans and making sure our heroes get the care and benefits they deserve.”
The Honor Flight Network is a national nonprofit organization that organizes and facilitates trips to Washington, DC, for veterans from the World War II, Korean War and Vietnam war eras. These trips are an opportunity for connection with fellow veterans during visits to US Capitol and memorials honoring their service. Congressman Gray spoke with the group on the second day of their visit.
