REP. GRAY DELIVERS OVER $1.3 MILLION FOR CENTRAL VALLEY PROJECTS IN NEWLY PASSED GOVERNMENT FUNDING BILL

November 19, 2025

WASHINGTON, DC – Last week, Representative Adam Gray (CA-13) secured $1,366,000 in funding for two community projects included in the fiscal year 2026 agriculture funding package.

“Valley families deserve leaders who work for them, not for the extremes of either political party,” said Rep. Gray. “I voted in favor of a bipartisan package which included direct support for two projects that will improve daily life in the Valley: one to expand mental health services for students in the Gustine Unified School District, and another to provide the Chowchilla Water District with resources to improve regional water safety and reliability. I will continue working across the aisle to ensure our community receives the resources we need.”

Rep. Gray’s community project funding requests have been approved as follows:

  • $366,000 for Gustine Unified School District to create a facility to house school-based mental health programs. Funds will be used for one-time costs with the significant majority used for acquisition of the portables and installation.
  • $1,000,000 for the Chowchilla Water District to bring new water to two water districts through the building of an intertie, providing water to both districts to enhance the safety and reliability of drinking water and irrigation.

The government funding process is ongoing as Congress negotiates spending packages. Rep. Gray requested federal funding for an additional 13 projects earlier this year. Read more about his requests here.
