WASHINGTON, DC – Representatives Adam Gray (CA-13) and Gabe Evans (CO-08) last week introduced legislation to counter the fentanyl crisis. The bipartisan Combatting Fentanyl Poisonings Act would expand grant funding for fentanyl awareness campaigns aimed at children and support training programs and equipment purchases for law enforcement agencies tracking and apprehending fentanyl traffickers.
WASHINGTON, DC – Representative Adam Gray (CA-13) introduced the bipartisan Harnessing Energy at Thermal Sources (HEATS) Act today alongside Representative Young Kim (CA-40). The bill would exempt geothermal activities on state and private land from federal drilling permits to encourage energy production and waive certain provisions of the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969.

MERCED, CA – Rep. Adam Gray (CA-13) announced today that the Department of Transportation (DOT) is directing over $7.4 million in grant funding to airport improvement projects in Chowchilla, Madera, Atwater and Gustine. The funding will support lighting improvements, repaving, weatherization, and safety measures at municipal airports to keep the Central Valley connected with other areas of the state and country.

Cuts to Medicaid and ACA programs included in the partisan reconciliation bill signed by President Trump in July threaten health coverage for 15 million Americans, including nearly 420,000 people in Congressman Gray’s district who rely on Medicaid (known as Medi-Cal in California).

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Adam Gray’s STRIVE Act to limit copay costs for veterans at VA health clinics passed with unanimous consent out of the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs this week. The bill was recommended favorably by a voice vote, with no opposition from any member of the committee. The committee’s vote renders the bill eligible to be brought to the House Floor for a vote.
