WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Adam Gray (D-Merced) today announced 15 Community Project Funding (CPF) submissions to the House Committee on Appropriations for Fiscal Year 2026. If funded, each project would serve the Central Valley by improving roads, expanding water storage, supporting construction of common spaces and parks, and upgrading equipment for first responders.

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Adam Gray (D-Merced) yesterday voted against the House Agriculture Committee’s reconciliation proposal. The bill, as written by the committee’s Republican majority, included $230 billion worth of cuts to agricultural programs. The cuts almost entirely came from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance (SNAP) program, which provides food benefits to low-income families across the country.

WASHINGTON, DC – This week, Congressman Adam Gray (D-Merced) joined a bipartisan group of his colleagues to launch the new Build America Caucus. The caucus is a group of nearly 30 bipartisan, pro-growth Members from across the ideological spectrum who will work together to pass legislation to cut red tape and encourage American production and innovation. Members of the new caucus gathered to announce its formation and share their hopes for the 119th Congress.

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Adam Gray joined a bipartisan group of Members to reintroduce the Farm Workforce Modernization Act. The bill would address workforce shortages across the Central Valley by establishing a program for agricultural workers in the United States to earn legal status through continued employment in the agricultural sector. Congressman Gray joins Representatives Zoe Lofgren (D-CA), Mike Simpson (R-ID), Jim Costa (D-CA), David Valadao (R-CA) and Dan Newhouse (R-WA) as co-lead sponsor of the legislation.

WASHINGTON, DC — In last night’s House Natural Resources Committee meeting, Congressman Gray offered an amendment to the committee’s reconciliation proposal that would have directed $8 billion in funding for water storage projects in the Central Valley. Congressman Gray was the sole Democratic vote in favor of sending the committee’s package to the House Floor for a final vote.

Honor Flight

WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Adam Gray (D-Merced) met this morning with a group of over five dozen veterans from the Central Valley during their Honor Flight visit to our nation’s capital. During the group’s tour of the Capitol building, Congressman Gray addressed the group on the House Floor and escorted them to the Capitol Rotunda. Congressman Gray joined Valley Congressmen Costa, Valadao, McClintock and Fong for the meeting.

“It is already illegal for non-citizens to vote in our elections. And it should be. If and when someone presents evidence, backed by the courts, of significant voter fraud, I believe we must make rooting it out the highest priority of our Department of Justice,” said Congressman Gray.
